John Bond (born 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas) is the offensive coordinator at Georgia State University as well as the former offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets' American football team.
Bond has 24 years of coaching experience, including offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Northern Illinois Huskies (2004–2006), the Army Black Knights (2000–2003), the Illinois State Redbirds (1996–1999), quarterback coach & passing game coach at Delta State (1994–1995), quarterback coach for the UTEP Miners (1991–1993) and running backs coach for the UNLV Rebels (1993) and the Missouri State Bears (1986–1990).
In college, Bond played for the Arkansas Razorbacks for one season before a career-ending injury. He earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Arkansas in 1985.
On August 22, 2008, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that John Bond has been hired on as offensive coordinator at Georgia State University.[1]
This John Bond is not the same John Bond who is part of the ongoing Cameron Newton pay for play controversy of Fall 2010.
